Welcome to Xiaomo (referred to below as "the App"). We understand how important your personal information is to you, and we take reasonable technical measures to protect the security of the App itself. Provisions in this Policy that concern your material rights and interests are highlighted in bold for your attention.
Please read and fully understand this Privacy Policy before using the App. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using the App immediately. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you are deemed to have fully read, understood, and agreed to all of its contents.
Xiaomo is a local, offline AI chat client tool. We do not operate any cloud server.
1.1 Core Principle: Your Data Stays Under Your Control
1.2 Our Role Regarding Personal Information
Because the App does not operate any server and does not collect personal information, in typical use the App does not act as a processor of your personal information. However, if you connect the App to a third-party AI model service, that third-party provider becomes the processor of your personal information.
1.3 Statement on Anthropomorphic Interaction Services
The App does not constitute a provider of "anthropomorphic interaction services" under the PRC "Interim Measures for the Administration of AI Anthropomorphic Interaction Services" (effective July 15, 2026; unofficial translation of a Chinese regulation).
1.4 Statement on Algorithmic Recommendation
The App does not use any algorithmic recommendation technology and does not provide personalized push notifications, content-feed recommendations, or search ranking based on such algorithms.
1.5 Statement on Generative AI Service Management
The App is a purely local client tool. The developer does not operate any server and does not provide any AI model service. The App does not provide any generative AI service.
1.6 Responsibility for the Two Connection Scenarios
The App allows you to configure either a cloud-based or a local model service. AI-generated content is produced independently by the model service you choose; the developer assumes no responsibility for its accuracy, legality, or safety.
1.7 Memory Feature
All memory data is stored only on your local device and is never uploaded to any server. You can turn this feature off at any time in Settings.
2.1 We Do Not Actively Collect Any Personal Information
The App does not collect, upload, or transmit any of your personal information to our servers, because we do not operate any servers.
2.2 Device Permissions
Microphone, camera, photo library, file storage, and network permissions are used solely to provide the App's core features. All permissions require your active authorization and can be revoked at any time.

The App does not actively collect or upload any sensitive personal information to any external server. We strongly recommend that you do not enter sensitive personal information into any AI model.
2.5 Additional Disclosures for EEA / UK / Swiss Users (GDPR)
Do we collect your personal data? No. What personal data do we collect? None. Because the App does not collect, store, or process any personal data on our servers, the data subject rights set out in Articles 15–22 of the GDPR (including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection) do not have a practical object to apply to, since we do not hold any personal data of yours. If you have any privacy-related questions, you can still reach us using the contact details in Section 9, and you retain the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
2.6 Additional Disclosures for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not collect any category of personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information, so the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is not applicable to the App. This disclosure is provided as a best practice, regardless of whether the App meets the CCPA/CPRA's applicability thresholds.
Any AI model service, web search, or system speech service you choose to use is operated independently by its own third-party provider. The App does not control or participate in that provider's data processing activities.
4.1 Local Storage — All of your data is stored only on your local device. Uninstalling the App will permanently erase all such data.
4.2 Security Measures — The security of your data depends primarily on the security of your own device.
4.3 Cross-Border Data Transfer — If the AI model service you connect to is located outside your country or region, your data may as a result be transferred across borders.
5.1 Age Requirement — The App is intended for users aged 18 and above.
5.2 Use by Minors — Minors should use the App only under the supervision of a legal guardian, and only after the guardian has given explicit consent to this Privacy Policy.
5.3 Note for U.S. Users (COPPA) — The App is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; because the App does not collect personal information from any user, this holds true by design. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 9 so that we can address it.
These rights are broadly consistent with those recognized under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA; see Sections 2.5 and 2.6 above for jurisdiction-specific notes.
Any updated version of this Privacy Policy will take effect 7 days after it is published. If you continue to use the App after that date, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Policy.
The formation, performance, and interpretation of this Policy, and the resolution of any dispute arising from it, are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country or place of residence, including, where applicable, the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that jurisdiction.
